auidence feedback on music video and subsidary texts

I decided to try go animate out for one of my audience feedbacks to make it more interactive and technological. I asked these five questions.

  1. similarities in the digipak and the music video on advertisment?
  2. narrative?
  3. genre?
  4. anything you dislike?
  5. what do you think about the artist's performance?

This didnt help much so i got somebody of my target auidence and asked them 15 questions to get a more detailed and non rushed feedback. This is the video...

Because i didnt have time to shoot 15 videos another easy way to  get audience feedback was to create feedback sheets, I created 15 questions (the same questions as the auidence feedback video) to hand out to my target audience and here is an example....

In summary I found out that most people thought the narrative was a love story, some thought it was a girl going to meet a boy and didn't understand the ripple imagery effect at the end. Everybody thought the lyrics suited the music video because it went with the storyline. If they put them selfs in my shoes they would of done certain things different like including the male more in the music video and made her look more individualised. I asked them to make suggestions about changes on the music magazine and digipak and they said on the music magazine they would of included more quotes and things to make her look like a big pop star for example reviews from music magazines on her album. On the digipak they suggesting including more things on the front cover because it didnt stand out as much. There opinion on the artists performance was that she interacted very well with the camera and it looked like she was enjoying herself.

It was easier to create pie charts to show the answers to questions with many answers.

Because my music video is targeted at primary female and secondary male I decided to balance the auidence feedback and have 4 males answer my questions and 11 females

I asked my audience if they enjoyed watching the music video and 13 people said yes and 2 said no but ironically the 2 that said no were boys so it may not have been to there taste.
Because I distributed my album on iTunes I wanted to know what price range people would pay for my album bearing in mind the music video. I was happy with the outcome of these results because the most popular price people would pay would be between £7.00 and £10.00 which is good considering the economic downfall in today's society.

3 people said that they didn't think the products combined together but 12 did.

1 person didn't think there was enough information on the music magazine advertisement.

There was a range of ages that I asked to fill in my audience feedback form because previously doing my audience feedback poll the people I was making the video for were ages of 13-19 (teeangers).

I think i created a successful pop music video considering these results that 11 people thought my music video was pop and 4 thought it was indie pop which is acceptable because indie pop is just a genre inside of pop.

Many people today do not buy of itunes because it is cheaper to pirate download.
