codes and conventions of a digipak

The codes and conventions of a digipak are things what you need and what the audience expect to see. The designer of the digipak will know the rules and guidelines of what to include. For example as long as the designer sticks to the three codes he will have a successful digipak. Technical codes which will include the image of the artist. The symbolic codes which will be the colour and design of the digipack and lastly the symbolic codes of the digipak which is including names of songs on the back of the digipak along with a barcode and price. Also it has to include the name of the album and the artists name.

It must include a paperboard or a cardstock binding which you store the CD or DVD inside. The design of the digpak will have the same colour scheme as the genre of music and the artist its self. On the outside of the digipak the front will usually include a image of the artist and the name and title of the album and the artist.
